Josh, you are a rock star. Boo-yah!!!! Finished the Marine Corps Marathon yesterday in D.C. on a picture-perfect day, and I owe my physical health to you. Everything about the entire adventure was best-case scenario, and I sent up many prayers of gratitude while I was running and running and running for the opportunity and the ability to participate in the race feeling 100% and as though I'd never had an ache in the world, much less a numb foot! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Dr. Kollmann is one of the few people I know that actually has a "healing touch".  I suffered a herniated disc in my neck.  Over a period of about three weeks, he was able to get the disc in my neck to reabsorb and quit giving me problems.  He did this completely without drugs and using some really neat treatment options like cold lasers, "distraction" therapy and microcurrent treatments.  I did not see an "MD" in the entire process.  He was wonderful about explaining to me not only what caused my pain, but what he was doing and WHY so that I could understand exactly what was going on.

I was in the middle of a Marathon training program when I started having
severe pains after just a few miles of running. I called a local running
store to find out who they used for sports injuries and was quickly
pointed towards Dr. Kollmann. Dr. Kollmann was able to see me
immediately after I expressed my urgency as I feared losing valuable
time preparing for the marathon. He was able to quickly diagnose the
injury as Piriformis Syndrome and explained the treatment process.

Being an athlete himself, he understood that being sidelined with an injury is
just as painful as the injury itself. I was enthused when he said that
during the treatments, “we are going to keep you running”.

The pain subsided substantially over the course of a couple treatments
and within a short time, I was back to pain-free running…the way it
should be! I now view Dr. Kollmann and Carolina Sports Chiropractic as a
valuable training partner, and have recommended him to all my running
friends!

Plagued with reoccurring shin splints since my college cross country days, I had spent years experimenting with various treatments, training routines and shoes/inserts.  I began working with Dr. Kollmann in January 2007, and I’ve been shin-splint free ever since.

An athlete himself, Dr. Kollmann can relate to the frustrations that often accompany sports-related injuries.  He also understands that every injury and every athlete is different, so he spends the time to ask questions and explain his strategy for treatment.

Dr. Kollmann is committed to helping his patients perform at their best.  Thanks to him, I’ve been able to enjoy running and racing again injury free!

Dr. Kollmann did an excellent job in preparing me for the Charlotte 2006 and Boston 2007 marathons.  Not only did he evaluate my injuries and kept me on my feet but he gave me excellent advice on training and nutrition as well.  He fully understands the aches and pains of athletes as he is one himself.  I will continue to use Dr. Kollmann and recmmend him to my friends.

After a busy 2006 triathlon season my body was full of aches and pains. I took some time off but as I began my 2007 season I was continually sidelined with leg pain and was unable to run for 4 months. I tried numerous things, talked to numerous doctors and even took months off. However, I still had pain. I thought my 2007 season was done, I then was lucky enough to meet Dr. Kollman!! Within 2 weeks of working with Josh I was back on the roads running and my shin pain was gone!! I am now preparing for the SC Half-Ironman. I have been pain free since I began seeing Josh and routinely visit his clinic to prevent future problems! I also refer all customers from my store whenever they have any aches/pains because I know Josh will get them back on track.

As I finished my peak training week and was getting ready to taper, I came down with a severally irritated IT band.  I could barley walk for days.  During any other period of my training throughout the year, I would not have been too disappointed.  But, this was 4 weeks prior to Ironman Wisconsin.

I began right away working with Dr Kollmann, who is an Ironman Finisher himself, to help me overcome my injury and achieve my goal of finishing.  He totally understood my situation.  He knew where my body has been physically during my training and where it needed to be in 4 weeks.  Dr Kollmann took tremendous care of me in getting my injury healed. Not only did he help prepare me physically for the most grueling day of my life, but also helped me mentally prepare to overcome this last minute hurdle that I had in front of me.  I could not have finished Ironman Wisconsin without the help from Dr. Kollmann.

As an athlete, he can truly understand where I was coming from, and as an ironman himself, were I needed to be and how to do it.  Again, Thank you Dr Kollmann for all your help with my total body well being
.

While in the middle of training for my first marathon, I developed some foot pain.  The pain got worse over several runs and became severe enough to alter my stride.  I became worried that my marathon goal might have to be postponed.

I sought out Dr. Kollmann’s services hoping that he could help, and I’m certainly glad that I did.  I noticed improvement after just one treatment and several weeks later, I was back to pain-free running.  By the way, I didn’t miss a single training run during my treatments.

Dr. Kollmann shared my passion for running and understood the importance of me reaching my marathon goal.  Like any great coach, he was very motivating and full of enthusiasm.  Thanks doc!

I had promised to let you know how MAP went.  I fully expected to be in your office to do that, but nothing has been broken.  I guess the Stick, foot drills, stretches and smart training have been working.  Here is the report:

I MADE IT!  It was an incredible experience.  Crossing the finish line was amazing, especially since my wife Hope finished within 10 seconds of me, and Melonie and the whole Siskey Triathlon crew was around to cheer each other on.  You may have heard about the crazy weather that rolled in about the time the Novices were starting in the pool.

So it was quite challenging coming out of the pool into weather 20 degrees colder than when I set up my transition, along with driving rain, wind, and hail. However, there was nothing in the world that was going to keep me from finishing this, not even the hamstring cramps that kicked in when I started the run. (I fully expected that I would be coming to you to fix my legs after I pushed through that one, but it all worked itself out.)

I really appreciate your efforts in putting me back together when I break something.  I definitely couldn't have continued my training without your help.

After 8 months of chronic bilateral knee pain and ITB band syndrome, which included 4 months of PT and anti-inflammatories with no improvement, my orthopedic surgeon's only recommendation was surgery. Not accepting that surgery was the only option, I decided to ask around for advice. Thankfully. a friend mentioned Dr. Josh and how he had helped her recover from an injury. After 4-6 visits which included various treatments (that did not include drugs or surgery) I was active and running again. Dr Josh is amazing! He is very sincere and takes the time to educate you on how the body works and how to heal it. He is an inspiration and really motivates you to do your best. Dr. Josh has given me a life back without limitations and pain. I feel truly blessed to have found him.
